Hello Lakewood Family!  

It is with great gratitude and excitement that I join the lizard community as Principal! In a short time I have learned why Lakewood is considered the hidden gem of Ann Arbor: our diverse population, caring community and committed staff. 

This transition has been a homecoming for me as I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and it holds a very special place in my heart.  As I have been so warmly welcomed, I would like to take this opportunity to share a little about myself.  This is my 21st year in education.  I received my Educational Specialist degree with an Administrator certificate from Oakland University.  I have held leadership positions in both Social Emotional Learning and Instructional areas and have a passion for growing my diversity, equity and inclusion practices. 

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my husband Will, daughter, Isabella and son, Haidren.  We have 2 cats named Teddy and Cola, and a sweet, energetic puppy named Angel.  I love to go for walks, gardening and traveling with my family.  

As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, the social emotional well being of staff and students is a high priority.  We will continue to focus on our Lakewood expectations to be Safe, Respectful and Responsible throughout our school environment. Zones of Regulation help us understand our emotions and use strategies to be our most successful selves in every moment.
