Hello King Families!

My name is Taylor Adams and I am so excited to join the King Community this year. I grew up in Saginaw, MI, but moved to East Lansing where I received my bachelors degree from Michigan State University--GO GREEN! This is my 8th year of teaching where I previously taught 5th grade and 4th grade in Ypsilanti. If I'm not teaching, you can catch me finding new trails to explore on hikes, reading mystery books, or spending time with loved ones.

I am so fortunate to have joined King Elementary where we share a common mission to help kids see their potential to succeed. I believe the most important factor in a childs' learning is their ability to feel seen and heard so they can find their unique voice as they grow academically, as well as in their social-emotional skills. Creating an inclusive and inviting classroom that feels like a safe space for students to be who they want to be, while they grow into the best versions of themselves is integral to my teaching philosophy and I am so grateful that I get to do that with other amazing educators at Martin Luther King Elementary!
