Mrs. Mendoza

Hello! My name is Mary Mendoza. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University in 1995, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Oakland University (2001). I have been working within Ann Arbor Public Schools for 21 years. This is my fourth year teaching at Lawton. I am very excited to be teaching Second grade this year. This is such a fun age to work with. I love working with these children everyday!

My favorite book is "The Kissing Hand". I enjoyed reading that book to my children when they were little the night before their first day of school. This way they knew I was with them all day long.

My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was math because I love working with numbers.
