Hello families, my name is Melissa Carpenter. I have a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Toledo and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. I've been teaching for Ann Arbor Public Schools since 2000 and have been the Lawton beginning band teacher for the majority of that time.

A book series I would recommend to Lawton students is the Joey Pigza series. He reminds me of my oldest kid.

My favorite subject when I was in elementary school was social studies. I love to learn about different places and different times.
